1. The lady had wrote what the man had originally but then she took it too the next level and caught peoples attention by showing them what he doesn't have that they do.
2. So i watched 3 times, the first time i watched it, i felt my chest sink. Like damn, thats pretty insane how some people have things that some people want but will never get.
3.Showed me this video to make me cry. But to really show how a few changes in words go a long way.
4. To change the words that written in the paper to impact the readers is by involving the readers, not only write about something that impacts just a specific but relates to all.
5. Covered the story in many ways, in paper, magazines, online, through social media, public speeches, over the news, over the phone
6. its the same story i heard as a child, just a different way of telling it. some things added and some things left out
7. So i see that they had interviewed the pigs and some people surrounding the case, people that knew of the wolf.
8. They covered everything that had happen, had a couple of interviews, and then everyone started giving their opinions which lead to a riot about other topics
9.They didn't get anything off of the wolf like where he came from or who he was. A little but not much, only that he had asthma
10. I believe they did, thats why the pigs were cuffed up and everyone wanted them to be free
11. Cant boil bad wolves alive but, we can do this for events. I just don't think daily would be possible though.
12. Can help by finding a story and getting in there and making it an everyone thing, get everyone involved, spread it like a disease
The most important thing that i have learned from being on staff is that when someone fails, the whole team fails man. it sucks big nuts but its true. Like some people get busy with other things and all but thats when others should come and help. Fail together or succeed together i guess.
I feel like a thing to improve is the communication and relationship between staff members and editors. The lack of communication is what i feel like is bringing us all down. Not able to walk up and talk, all too shy about what we are doing or working on.

Biography for website
grade: 11th
year on staff: 1st
Im on staff because i was told this class is dank as heck, which it is so far. I also like all the craze feeling i get when the deadlines come around. Outside of school, I like to go spray paint, hang with my friends, play some music. I also work at heb but that isn't something i really like too do. After high school i plan to either try and open up a sandwich shop, or get on a hippie bus, travel and change the world by defacing something I'm not so sure yet. Ill probably end up finding a better job and get a cool dog.

First Day Scavenger Hunt
1. While walking through the building i noticed a couple of new things and some things that just look different than they did last year. In between E and F hall, outside there is wooden stage. Not sure why its there but it is. In the hallways around the library there are new clocks. They are digital and not the older ones with hands. A new age we are going into i guess. When walking around the courtyard I see that most of the old vending machines are now gone. Thats a good and bad thing i guess, all they really had in them were powerades. An something different is that when walking down the hallways i see most of the art is gone but i guess thats just because the news kids will be hanging their art there now.
2. I did find someone that was wanting to be asked a couple questions and had a couple things to say about the new year,
//micaela A. R., 11th grade
"Im trying to make next year easier for myself, so i am taking all my science this year but all of it plus work equals hella tired dude."
"I came into school at the beginning of the week ready and excited but now I'm so done with it all already."
"I have a new orchestra teacher this year, third new one in a row."
"Something different now than last year is that i go to sleep way later and i have work during the week instead of just only on weekends."
//Seth B., 11th grade
"I came to school feeling awful and now I'm leaving school feeling awful, wonderful"
From this i see that student life is starting to change, kids working for themselves and looking into the future. Just waiting to leave now i guess, to start. But I'm sure they don't know how bad it can be out in the real world. How much they will miss school.
3. A new procedure to everyone that has been going here is the new bell schedule and all. It being ten minutes later and all, its a bit of a problem for me being now i have to rush even more to get to work but its whatever, getting used to it.
4. I know that art club is already talking about competitions like scholastics and stuff and that they are asking people to come to art club because at bulldogs and hot dogs they need more artist for their booth.
6./7.
"Where are they now?" or "Where are the fish now?" - upper classmen talk about the beginning of freshman year compared to the beginning of their last year and how it is different and where they are going and doing now.
"How to SAT" something about psat and sat, idk i know i hear lots of kids talking about it though, talking about the benefits or what they are in the paper seem like it would be a good idea.

The Student of the Month award was presented
to Avy F on April 15th. The award was presented to her by a group of admins at
her school, Bowie High School. She was given the award for her determination to
do better and her prestigious academic skills over all others.
"I was surprised, happy and proud of myself," Avy says in
response to how she felt when she heard she was student of the month. Avy is
finds that her success as being student of the month will open up a lot of opportunities
for her.
“People look at you differently and think you’re super smart.” Compared
to being a normal student, She thinks that being student of the month also
brings the looks and assumptions. Since she has gotten this award Avy says she
keeps working hard and keeps her grades up.
"Getting this reward makes me only want to do better and better," Avy says with a determined tone. She seems to like school and only wants to do her best in it. She finds her grades very important too her and thats what she works on the most. That is all she has.

An the lady likes him but can't admit it to anyone so she goes through with the marriage while the one guy races to interrupt the ceremony. "Im unsure of what I should do, I cannot believe this. I love her, why couldn't she just tell me this before any of this happened, I guess thats the end of that friendship. Im just so embarrassed right now," Nathan tells us as he sits and smokes outside. Final Exam Preview Assignment
1. imovie is very easy compared to any other program I've used in other classes. In iMovie there are presets available that you can choose from once you import your photos or videos into your project. You don't have to and have the option to make your own theme for your videos or photos to follow.
Titles, transitions and music can be added to your movies. It is very easy to add these things, just have to press a button or two off of the tool bar that is given. An all you have to really do is add the photos you want in the order you want into the timeline and they work together to play.
2. I already new how to create a new project, simply from just looking and guessing
3.I learned that iMovie was very easy and pretty cool, i thought it was pretty lame and didn't have very many options to what you can do but it does and its easy to do unlike after effects.
4. im concerned about the topic i will be taking pictures of, I'm not sure at all of what to do but i think i might have an idea that may work.
5.I am confident that i can finish this, thought the final would be harder and boring
6. im unsure, maybe something to do with spray painting or a room slowly getting dirty

Portfolio analysis - how judges pick winning portfolios and sports photos (DNF)
Name; Alyssa Schukar
General Focus; PhotoJ/sports
Three Problems;
-eating disorder story could've been better, common
-all pictures were at the same the same, they seemed to be at certain distances with the same lens, no feeling
-some photos like the uncle sam hat one brings down the collection
Three things they liked;
-They liked the background of the man sweeping the trash
-Girl that fell over photo with her opponents legs showing
Overall; I see a dark group of photos but some photos just seem random and bring down the group of photos. I didn't like the first couple photos, they got boring. I liked the photos with limited lighting like the stairway one or the one of the men in the street.
Name; Travis Haughton
General Focus; starts as a photoj story then moves into multiple sports photos and some random photos
Three Problems;
-Since the photos are blown up the quality isn't that great
- Some photos need captions because there isn't enough info in the photo to know what is going on
- the photos are too tight, which made mergers, and are cropping out some things that can add to the photo and make it better
Two things they liked;
-The lighting in photos were on point but the idea of those photos didn't add to what the photographer was trying to say
-The amount of background in some pictures brought more to the photo which made them like it.
Overall : I really liked this portfolio. Some images didn't mean anything and seemed very random but there was a run on of kids in this portfolio

1. I disagree with this statement only because i do not understand it and need a more of an explanation of what he is trying to say.

3. Seems pretty fun, so many interesting things to look at as a child. Unless they work in a busy shop then that sounds terrible in such a small space.
4. My favorite Photo is the one that is filled with santa claus on the wall. Also has three ladies and two of them have their heads down on their small counter.

Yes, This is a photo showing victory
4. Could this have been planned?
Most definitely the idea could've been planned but capturing the photo like this couldn't have been planned, random
5. What advanced techniques are present in this photo?
Focused on what is going and have the background blurred.

Other High School Newspapers
1. My favorite newspaper front page is Altitude by Hanford 145. I think having that large picture saying "cannabis culture" is pretty cool. Something that is viewed mostly as a bad thing is being brought up on the front of a paper that these kids got to make. Awesome how they can talk about whatever.
2. The paper that had grabbed my interest was Altitude because of the large image and statement "cannabis culture." Im not one for alcohol or drug usage but it had caught my attention because i didn't expect to see it and i wanted to see what they had to say about it because it is becoming more and more popular.
3. My favorite headline was the "cannabis culture" headline because i wanted to know what people had to say about it since it is becoming a popular cultural thing.
4. Seven Stories
5. They all have a large main headline that is noticeable and a large picture going with it.
6. Some look like yearbook covers or magazine covers rather than front newspaper pages. Some have very little to them, like one picture taking the whole thing and a couple words under a headline.
7. Some were similar to the ones from around the world but most of them were not. A lot of different kinds of newspaper.
Broadsheet;
Tabloid;
Newsmagazine;
Front Pages of The World
1.My favorite newspaper front page is Andaman Sheekha, Port Blair, India. I like it because of the colors used and there is a title and picture for every story showing on the page.
2.My favorite headline from the front page of Andaman Sheeka is the headline about the six year old becoming the first patient of Anishi, which is health insurance. This interest me because for a while I've been thinking about going into the medical field and this is related to it.
3. There are five stories on the front page and one large advertisement.
4. The text isn't very long on most and continues to the inside story. The pictures usually have one large one and a lot of smaller ones. The big picture and story is placed somewhere center or in a place the eye will see first.
5. On one german paper i saw it had only one picture and all words around it and in others they would have multiple pictures. For titles some would have weird font and colored backgrounds to them. Some papers didn't have adds or had to many adds.

Magazine Cover Peer Review

1.bijou
2.I like that its black and white with blue lettering of "Bijou." Also like how its a style magazine and that the photo matches it.
3. Improve on the price of this magazine, would not pay $24.99 for that
4. The blue lettering
5. Sort of, over priced
6. I think its a formal self portrait

1. Austin Health
2. That Sun is blinding but I love it, and how the football and the title were over some white background
3. Something they could improve on is maybe add a couple more things to the photo, not only a football
4. The blinding sun
5. Yes
6. Yes
7. It was most definitely a portrait
http://jordanyphotojournal.blogspot.com/2014/12/magazine-cover.html
1.Into The Wild
2. The font used for "into the wild" really brings it together, reminds me of man vs wild. And having that add on some sweet hiking shoes, thats pretty cool.
3. Something to improve is maybe replace the wire with like tree branches or grass
4.the way she is looking into the camera behind everything
5.Yes
6.Yes
7. Portrait
http://ashleydrphotojournalism.blogspot.com/2014/12/magazine-cover.html

3. I really think there is not improvement, maybe change the font style.
4. The babies facial expression

3. The Photo of "Pose" is pretty rad. My favorite one of the four because just the depth of field on the subject is better than the others, i feel like thats what makes it better, i know what they are looking at.
4.My least favorite photo of these is "Eight." It's just hard to tell what the prompt was for the photo, and with all the other numbers and letters it just takes away from the focus
5.The "footprints" one is also coolio, just not as good as the pose. And the connected one seems like it could be on the front of a novel or something about teenagers that like each other or something.
6.I feel like what they need to do to make all these photos on point to the level of pose is to get that, "on the subject" feel
7.The prompt that they best portrayed is the connected prompt
8.the least is the eight prompt
